Lincolnshire the fourth largest county in England with just over 2,286 sq miles of which 87% is given up for agriculture. It has a population of approx 635,000 giving each person more space individually than any other county.It also has a coast line running the entire length of it's border from the Humber to the Wash.
It is the food basket of England producing crops of every variety, the county also produces some of the best pork in the country and is famous for it's selection of sauages.The fish docks which were one of the biggest in the uk has sadly declined but the county has numerous other resources in power, energy, manufacture and the fabrication of many commodities.
The pretty historic city of Lincoln with its castle, cathederal and university is the very heart of the county and symbolises the spirit that embraces a vibrant, and forward looking Lincolnshire. |
